Good job with the kapusta... I make it periodically when I have the urge, usually in
 the winter months! One thing I do different is, I use shredded cabbage along with the kraut & beef bullion. I just made some golumpki and everyone love it although, I made the Ukrainian version which is a tomato cream sauce instead of tomato sauce over the top. I've been trying to get back to my Polish roots, these are foods I haven't had since I was a child when my babcia used to cook these dishes...
